Brenda Pulvermacher’s love affair with craniosacral therapy (CST) began in the early 1990s. Brenda had trained in emergency medical assistance, peer counselling, Healing Touch, Chi Nei Tsang, medical Chi Gong and shiatsu therapy, when on the suggestion of a friend, she enrolled in a CST program and loved it!She is now a Registered Shiatsu Therapist with the province of British Columbia and clinical supervisor of the Langara College CST program.
With over 20 years of experience behind her, Brenda has completed the rigorous Upledger Institute process as a Certified Craniosacral Therapist and participated and assisted in teaching advanced courses specializing in pediatric and infant CST. She has been a Certified Teaching Assistant with the Institute internationally and has personally assisted Dr. Upledger (founder of the Upledger Institute). In addition, she is a teaching assistant for the Visceral Manipulation curriculum.
Brenda has several years of advanced training in trauma resolution with Self Regulating Therapy and has completed the foundation training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Michael Shea PhD. She also has advanced biodynamic training working with babies who have been birthed by caesarean section.
Brenda is currently a member of the International Association of Health Care Practitioners, theAmerican Craniosacral Therapy Association, the Shiatsu Therapy Association of British Columbiaand Health Action Network.
To balance body, mind and spirit Brenda meditates, exercises, laughs and eats lots of veggies. She has been married for thirty years and has three grown daughters. On a fine day you will find her in the garden.
