Isabel is a Registered Acupuncturist from the prairies with a passion for encouraging the healing process through acupuncture treatment, dietary guidance and lifestyle advice. Her goal in the case of every patient is to achieve affordable, effective relief and natural resolution of their health concerns. Isabel is open to treating a wide variety of ailments, although she has a strong interest in treating women’s health, fertility and birth preparation, endocrine imbalances and mental wellness. She believes that her acupuncture needles have their greatest effect on the body when patients can tap into their parasympathetic nervous system to rest, digest and heal, hence her deliberate gentle needling technique.

Isabel is a lifelong learner and graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree where she majored in biological sciences and minored in nutrition. Following her undergraduate degree, she continued her studies to achieve a Diploma of Acupuncture with distinction at MacEwan University. Isabel’s experience in community healthcare and capacity for empathy was cultivated to a higher degree being employed as a pharmaceutical assistant for the duration of her post-secondary education. She practiced acupuncture in St. Albert, Alberta for two years before moving to the west coast. Her move to Vancouver has been driven by an opportunity to continue her studies in herbology as she works toward a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine designation. Isabel continues to study and develop her knowledge in fertility and women’s health with a desire to become a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine in the near future. Isabel is always eager to utilize her understanding of allopathic illnesses and main-stream medicine to facilitate a traditional diagnosis and individually tailored acupuncture treatment.

In her free time, Isabel is passionate about activity outdoors including running, biking, yoga, soccer, skiing, hiking, and climbing. She loves to cook health-consciously, feed loved ones and has been an ovo-pescetarian for nearly a decade. Isabel is always itching to throw herself into new cultural experiences- such as the exploration of new ceremony, food, dress, celebration, architecture and an unfamiliar history- in a place that is new to her. Animals of all shapes and sizes are her greatest weakness!
