In her practice Yvonne offers massage therapy and /or craniosacral therapy. Her intention is to listen to the needs of each person, and to facilitate the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Her touch is both gentle and deep.
Yvonne has had a successful massage therapy practice for over 30 years, first in Kelowna, then in North Vancouver. She has been trained in a variety of massage techniques and sessions are influenced by Swedish massage, myofascial release, acupressure massage, reflexology and hot rocks.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic craniosacral therapy requires a lighter touch than massage and accesses deep sensation in the body. Among other things, it calms the nervous system, connects us with our fluid body, and helps the fascia to relax. A field of expansiveness often arises. BCST can be a powerful antidote for the compression and stress of daily life. It helps to create a healing space in which the system can access stillness and its innate balance.
The beauty and strength of nature is a force that Yvonne draws on continually. Some of her favorite times are spent kayaking & hiking the North Shore trails.Over the last 30 years she has studied with numerous teachers in the fields of meditation, chi gong, energy healing and personal growth.
In 1981 Yvonne graduated from the Canadian College of Massage Therapy & Hydrotherapy in Ontario. In 2008 she graduated from the Biodynamic Craniosacral Foundation Training taught by Michael Shea. She has also studied craniosacral therapy with the Upledger Institute and at Langara College.
